FEW Foundation for Education and Training

Established in 2004, the FEW Foundation for Education and Training is the 501(c)(3) charitable arm of the national organization. The mission of the Foundation is to

1) Help women enhance their career opportunities through education and training;

2) Encourage diversity and equity in the workplace; and

3) Provide opportunities for professional growth through leadership development ,education, mentoring, and networking. To support this mission, the Foundation established an academic scholarship program in 2006 for FEW members and their families in the science and technology fields. Grantham University, a 100% online university based in Kansas City, Missouri, was the first school to offer a full four-year scholarship. As its financial base grows, the Foundation plans to support scholarships to national and regional training programs. For more information, visit www.fewfoundation.org.

FEW Legal and Education Fund

The Federally Employed Women’s Legal and Education Fund (FEW LEF) was initially established by Federally Employed Women in 1977. FEW LEF is not a membership organization, and functions under the management of an elected Board of Directors consisting of volunteers. Contributions to FEW LEF are tax deductible. The primary purpose of the LEF is to defend human and civil rights.

National Coalition for Equity in Public Service (NCEPS)

NCEPS consists of Blacks in Government (BIG); Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC); National IMAGE Inc. for Government Hispanics; and the Society of American Indian Government Employees (SAIGE); as well as Federally Employed Women (FEW).  NCEPS members have served on panels dealing with civil rights issues and have participated in each other's national and local training conferences. They usually hold a Town Hall Meeting at these conferences to provide information and training on issues affecting federal employees.
